Condolences to Dr Velaga Venkatappaiah

ALSD Condolences to  Dr Velaga Venkatappaiah  

A well know Librarian Dr Velaga Venkatappaih who is one of the active member of the Library Movement in Andhra Pradesh expired on 29^th Decemeber with  heart attack. He was public librarian and retired as Secretary, Zilla Grantahalaya Samstha. His contribution to the cause of libraries especially for public libraries and enriching Telugu literature in LIS is phenomenal. He was also member of RRRLF. He started the Prof Kaula international prize. He wrote Model Public Library Act. He is well known for his hard work and work in public library movement.  

His death is a great loss to the libraries especially for public library movement. 

ALSD condole his death, We pray almighty to give Strength to his family to bear the loss, Let his soul rest in peace.
